Understand the change in the member journey
Podia’s August 2026 explanation describes a unified member home and a separate administration area. That distinction matters when planning instructions for buyers. A member looking for their material and an owner editing an offer are not performing the same task. Before writing an onboarding email, identify the member-facing destination and the first useful action. Do not send customers an administrative workflow simply because that is where you created the product.
Distinguish community access from a public website
The documented changes replace older topics with spaces and remove the previous public-topic model. Content intended for anonymous visitors needs a public publishing route rather than an assumption that a community post is searchable and visible to everyone. A space can serve the ongoing member relationship, while a public page explains the offer. Keep those jobs separate in your content plan so a visitor is not asked to join before understanding what is being sold.
Review existing promises before copying old instructions
If you already use Podia, identify references to older community structures in welcome messages, screenshots and help notes. Replace them only after checking the current experience for the relevant access level. A product migration and a change to the platform’s own interface are different events. Neither should be treated as proof that every old link, access rule or customer instruction has been updated correctly without inspection.
Use a simple access map to validate the transition
Draw three rows: anonymous visitor, free member and paying customer. For each, list the public explanation, available material and next action. Mark anything uncertain for verification. Our space-access guide uses that map to distinguish membership from permission to a specific area. The launch checklist then connects it to the purchase journey. This is planning guidance, not a claim that we have migrated an operating Podia account or tested every new feature.
