Diagnose the observed response precisely
Record the full intended hostname and the visible result: wrong site, not found, connection error or certificate warning. Distinguish the bare domain from www and other subdomains. A failure on one hostname does not prove that the entire site is offline. Avoid repeatedly refreshing unrelated pages or making broad DNS changes before the target and symptom are clear.
Compare the supported configuration
Check the domain settings shown in Podia and the corresponding website record at the DNS provider against the current official instructions. Look for conflicting entries or an address that differs from the one being tested. Preserve unrelated mail and verification records. If you cannot establish the current state through authorized access, record the missing fact instead of inventing a record value or assuming the account is configured correctly.
Separate elapsed time from evidence
Some domain changes require processing time, but waiting is not a diagnosis of every error. Compare a later supported check with the original result and note whether the state actually changed. A successful DNS save does not prove that the certificate, routing and content are ready. Do not bypass a browser-generated security warning or ask visitors to ignore it while declaring the launch complete.
Verify recovery without losing earlier links
Once the demonstrated issue is corrected, check the original failed address and an important deep link. If the domain was changed or disconnected, inspect links embedded in existing emails using Podia’s guidance. Keep the evidence of the prior configuration until the new route is reliable. This article describes a conservative diagnostic sequence; it is not a claim that we tested every domain provider or can guarantee a propagation deadline. Give support the exact hostname and observed error rather than a general report that the internet is broken.
